Meet the Staff

Pre-School - Mrs. Denise Silich
Mrs. Silich has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech State College and is on the Early Childhood Education Advisory Board there. She has been the lead preschool teacher for 16 years. Mrs. Silich is very involved in both St. Bridget School and Parish activities. She is a Gabriel Project "Angel," Style Show Co-Chair, "Penny Wars" Co-Chair and Parish Festival Elephant Ear Booth Chairperson. During HSA meetings, Mrs. Silich also provides childcare. She is the mother to three grown daughters, all of whom attended St. Bridget. Mrs. Silich is proud to be called : "Gamma" by here three grandchildren.

Pre-School Aide - Debbie Replin
Mrs. Replin has an Associate Degree in Social Work from Vincennes University. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Calumet College of St. Joseph. She has served as the St. Bridget School Librarian for the past 5 years, is the Scholastic Book Fair Chairperson and ISTEP Coordinator. She also serves as Co-Director of the Christmas and Spring Programs and Grandparents Day.She currently resides in Hobart with husband Deron and son Cameron, a student at SBS.


Mrs. Lisa Lococo
Mrs. Lococo has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University North Central. She also has an Associates Degree in Accounting and Business. While at Purdue, Mrs. Lococo received the 2006 Outstanding Future Educator Award from the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education for her exceptional performance as a student teacher. She has 3 years teaching experience at St. Bridget. She has worked as an instructional aide, a special education substitute, and a third and fourth grade remediation aide in the Duneland School Corporation. She enjoys going to workshops and seminars, and in 2004, she was a presenter at the Annual Reading Conference in Indianapolis. Mrs. Lococo has been a youth soccer coach, an assistant Boy Scout leader, and a mentor in her local community. She loves spending time with her wonderful husband, Don, and her loving son, Eric.

Mrs. Corrine Krischano
Ms. Corrine Krischano is a 2005 graduate of Purdue University North Central with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She has a background in ISTEP coaching and remediation. She has 3 years experience teaching at St. Bridget, this will be her 4th year at St. Bridget. Currently, she resides in Valparaiso with her three children.

Mrs. Angela Leuck
Mrs. Leuck has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in reading from Purdue University in West Lafayette. Mrs. Leuck has 16 years experience and is our staff sponsor for Grandparents Day, Catholic Schools Week, and Open House. She is a Minister of the Word at Sacred Heart Church where she resides in Wanatah with her husband Jon. Mrs. Leuck is the proud mother of six children.

Mrs. Sandra Purcell
Mrs. Purcell has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Humanities from the National College of Education. Mrs. Purcell has 27 years experience and teaches science, grammar, and literature. She has been a sponsor for Student Council, Science Bowl, and the Reader's Digest Vocabulary Competition. She has also been a sponsor for science fairs, science clubs, and judge for the science fair at the Museum of Science and Industry.

Director of Religious Education & for St. Bridget Church and School - Mrs. Mary Anne C. Shaw
Mrs. Shaw attended Indiana University Northwest and holds an Associates and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies - Summa Cum Laude - Calumet College of St. Joseph. She has also received a Diploma of Ministry and Certification in Theology from the Institute of Religion and Calumet College of St. Joseph. She was honored with the Sr. Marie Flood Religious Studies Award 2007 for excellent performance in the Religious Studies Program presented by Calumet College of St. Joseph.

Mrs. Shaw has been a catechist for 25 years and is a graduate of the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program of the Diocese of Gary. Mrs. Shaw completed the course of study for Spiritual Companions and leads others in retreats. She coordinated the Generations of Faith Program and is a Facilitator for the VIRTUS Protecting God's Children Program, the Unit Coordinator for St. Bridget Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop No.69, and is a Merit Badge and Religious Emblems Counselor. She is the Director of RCIA with a Ministry in Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Care. She facilitates preparation for the reception of the Sacraments, Vacation Bible School, Children's Liturgy and Adult Education. Mrs. Shaw taught Music at St. Bridget for ten years and continues to assist in Music Ministry. She is a member of PAREFF, ICCL, BSA, INPEA, the St. Bridget School Advisory Board and St. Ann Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

Mrs. Shaw and her husband, Harold, have been married for 40 years and are the parents of Cathy, Jim, Mike, and Tim. They have two grandchildren, Madelyn and Dylan.

Religion Teacher & Religious Education Secretary - Mrs. Darlene Williams
Mrs. Williams has a Diploma of Ministry from Calumet College and has been a catechist for 16 years. She teaches religion to St. Bridget lower elementary school children as well as third grade in the Parish Religious Education Program. She is Religious Education Secretary for both programs. Mrs. Williams assists in Sacramental Preparation, including Baptism and Marriage Prep classes. She received a "Catechist of the Year Award" in 2005. Mrs. Williams coordinates the Vacation Bible School Program, is the staff chairperson for "Santa's Secret Shop" and is a chairperson for the Parish Festival Raffle. She is also a Eucharistic Minister for the Parish. Mrs. Williams and her husband, Terry, have two sons: Jim, who is in the U.S. Navy, and Matt, who is studying elementary education at St. Joseph's College.
