Our Principal - Mr. Douglas A. Pearson
Dear Parents:
We are pleased to inform you that Mr. Douglas A. Pearson has accepted our offer to become the Principal for our parish school.
He comes to us with a wealth of experience; he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University, his Master of Science Degree from
Indiana University and his Administrative Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and has worked in the
education field for thirty-four years, mostly at Highland High School where he has served on numerous
committees and sponsored extracurricular activities.
On the state level, he has served on the Indiana Department of Education Technology Education Curriculum Committee and was a
Technology Education Trainer for teachers and school corporations across Indiana. He has received numerous
professional awards including Indiana's Outstanding Technology Teacher of the Year.
He is particularly adept in the area of leadership and teamwork skills that he has utilized in the Scouting program
and as a volunteer with the Andrean Athletic Department.
Our new principal has been
married to his wife Donna for thirty-two years.
They live in Schererville with their son Doug
who graduated from Andrean this year. They
are members of Saint Michael the Archangel
Parish.
We pledge to him our whole-hearted support and know that you will join us in co-operation and
making him feel welcome as he begins to serve our parish community.
